"It is this language of the spirit that I try to communicate in the images I create, our relationships with the animals, with the birds, with the fish and all of humanity. It is the experience of my ancestors that have inspired the stories and legends of the Ojibway people."

tThis diptich represents the shaman praying with the sacred pipe, asking on behalf of his "white" brother, to help him come to a place of remembering to be thankful for all of creation.  That in this sacred prayer to the creator, the shaman is addressing the source to be pitiful and gentle on his white brother, for that damage that has happened upon our earth mother.  To help inspire the white nation to become more environmentally aware and responsible about how we take our actions upon mother earth.  To warn us all that we now live in a period of consequences as the result of technology and industry.  The spirit of Nanabijou is warning us that the 4 elements themselves, the earth, air, water & fire are getting a little restless with our behavior.  The shaman is only coming from a place of wanting the highest good for our white relatives and that his job is to just pray on all of our behalf.  The shamanic bear clan is also involved with great concern helping to inspire and educate his white relatives about the medicines upon mother earth.  So that in so doing, we all become environmentally conscious about what we all, as a civilization are going to leave behind for the future generations of children that are going to be inheriting, in the future.  I say chi-meegwetch to the prayers of all, as this may change the future of our actions and the results there of!
